Interpreting

I provide Nepali-English interpreting for legal, medical, and general needs. I am a notary public of New York, so I am able to certify many of my services.

As I am also a court reporter, my first-hand knowledge of producing verbatim transcripts and questioning patterns give me an advantage in legal interpreting contexts.

My Nepali-English interpreting services include:

  • Able to express thoughts clearly and succinctly in both languages
  • Familiarity with Nepali regional dialects and cultural usages
  • Note-taking for consistency with consecutive interpreting
  • Thorough knowledge of and education in legal procedures
  • College-level, academic education in both Nepali and English
  • Intimate, first-hand familiarity with both cultures

I received my Bachelor or Arts (BA) in English in 1994. I am originally from Darjeeling, India, and completed primary and secondary school at the historic Loreto Convent, established in 1854. My academic background, therefore, was grounded equally in English and Nepali.

If you have a need for my Nepali-English interpreting services, please feel free to email me.
